TESSA DE LA COIPEANE

(Lucas De La Coipeane x Pulsy De La Coipeane)
Tessa is a female French import.
Owned by Carroll Kemp. Bred by Dominique Guillon.
Trained by Carroll Kemp
Born April 9, 2022.
Tessa is also just getting started on her journey. In June of 2023, she passed her UKC Natural Ability Test (TAN) and was conformed by judge Aline Tremblay with a rating of Excellent. She hunted the 2023/24 season often. 2025 will be her first year of participating in field trials.
She was bred by the indomitable Dominique Guillon, who started breeding/training in the late 1980s. Over the course of five decades, he developed a line of griffons known for their versatile field accomplishments, including dogs like Romignone, Vlad, Rupert, Narvick, Gadget and Bambo. Tessa was out of the last litter Mr. Guillon whelped before retiring.
Tessa was imported as a puppy specifically for her bloodlines, which offer the most successful, direct lineage back to Hudson des Rives de L’Aure, the all-time winningest griffon, that I am aware. Importantly, this connection is made thru Hudson’s most important daughter, Romignone de Cornilly, who won the 2004 Prix Dutilleux, which is the Korthals of the Year award in France. Tessa’s father, Lucas de la Coipeane, won the 2021 French National Elevage and the breed at the 2022 World Dog Show; her grandfather, Eole de Cornilly, and great-grandfather, Vlad des Coteaux de Bidos, the 2008 Prix Dutilleux winner. All of whom were field trial and conformation champions in multiple countries. And all of whom competed and won the highest honors from the French Korthals club during their respective lives.
